The charge HotelJapan.net sends you includes a service charge, Japanese consumption taxes, meals:breakfast(optional) besides room charges.
Some hotels may not serve breakfast. In this case, you should pay extra charge for meals.
Please check the information about meals on the hotel’s information section.
Also some hotels may have an option of excluding breakfast. We wrote ‘excluding meals possible’ in their information.
Some hotels which have Onsen(a natural hot spring) may include breakfast and dinner as default. |

How process the credit card billing? |

If you pay after made a reservation by your credit card. Money from your account would remitted to the Pay Gate company. It guarantee your reservation and remit to us when your request is confirmed.
If you cancel or modify your booking, we demand refunding your money from the PG.(A bill for modified status will be sent) |

Is it possible that I Pay to the hotel directly? |

HotelJapan.net is operated by BICO. T. S. co. ltd(Korea) and BICO. co. ltd(Japan). Our payment policy only approve pre-payment. The hotel direct payment cannot have a validity. |

I want to use a laptop computer at the hotel. Is there anything that I need to know? |
|
|

Japanese electricity is 110 voltage. Most of computers are volt-free, but please check your laptop is. Also a plug’s socket type is the American style. So, if you use the British or Continental type’s plug, remember you should bring an adapt plug because generally hotels do not offer it. |

I want to know which hotel provides internet service and how to use it at the hotel. |
|

Please check whether the internet service is possible or not on the hotel’s information section. Then, if the service is available and you want to use, please give us additional memorandum when you request a booking.(*check carefully whether it is free or not)
You should prepare your own network cable with the laptop because hotels mostly do not lend it.(Some of them may lend.) |

Why do some hotels demand a credit card when check in? |
|
|
|

Please consider it as a kind of guarantees. It is for payment of extra charges such as beverages in a refrigerator or using the room service.(NOT for the lodging charge you paid already.) |

- SGL : Single room(for 1 person/room)
- TWN : Twin room(for 2 people/room), 2 beds in a room
- DBL : Double room(for 2 people/room), a double bed in a room
- TRP : Triple room(for 3 people/room), usually a double bed and an extra bed
- QUAD : Quadruple room(for 4 people/room)
- SEMI TWN(Economy TWN) : Semi-twin room(for 2 people/room), single sized room that equipped a single bad and a sofa-bed(or an extra bed). Same as Studio TWN. HotelJapan.net only use the word ‘Semi TWN’ to avoid confusion with hotels
- SEMI DBL : Semi-double room(for 2 people/room), (Little bigger) single room that two people use
- J/S : Japanese style
- W/S : Western style, an ordinary room type which has a bed(s). Usually hotels in ‘onsen-a hot spring’ area use this word.

After submitting a request, I got a reservation number. Has the booking request been confirmed? |
|
|
|
|
|
When a request is registered, we give you own reservation number whether the booking is confirmed or not. It is own number of HotelJapan.net for communication among the customer, hotels, and us-HotelJapan.net. When you request an available room by the real-time system, the voucher will be issued immediately. Our reply, however, could be late in other cases. The reason is that if there is no available room, we try to check a suitable alternative before we reply you. |

Check your e-mail service has a very exhaustive spam mail filtering system.(Especially, if you use an web-mail). If you use your company e-mail, Fire wall may interrupt the mail delivery. If you contact our booking centre, you can get a voucher by fax.

What is the real time booking? |

A real time booking is making a reservation for the hotel registered in our real time booking system . If there is a available room, you can confirm the booking and pay charges instantly after requesting. |

I want to know about refund in case of a booking cancellation. |
|
|
|

About Our Cancellation & Refund Policy
- If you cancel your reservation, your credit card-guaranteed charge will be refunded except 1500 JPY for cancellation charge - in case of cancelling at least 8 days before check-in date.
- From 7 days before the check-in date, if you cancel your reservation, you pay charge for 1 night booked rooms. If your booking was for only 1 night then the full amount will be charged.
- Refund Procedure
Please inform us cancellation by phone call. Before refund, a cancellation bill will be issued by an e-mail. You pay cancel charge, then we immediately request refund to the credit card pay gate company. It may take times PG pays back to you. Possibly the Credit Card Statements shows you charges and refunds throughout 2 months.

What means ￥0 in the table of charges? |
|
|
|
|
|
The periods which rate is ￥0 are special time that difficult to make a reservation. It is very hard to make a reservation at ordinary charges. (the Golden Week, year-end & New Year’s, Obon;Japanese Thanks Giving, etc.)
If the charge of date you want to check-in is ￥0, please call us. We will inform you that status of available rooms and charge rates. In these periods, you might not make a booking at the rate for foreigners. |

If I check out of the hotel early, how refund is applied? |
|
|
|
|
|
If you have to check out of the hotel earlier than you booked, we ask the hotel a question about there is any penalty charge.
If you cannot contact us because we are out of the business day(time), please confirm your actual staying date to hotel by yourself. Then, send a fax us(Tokyo or Seoul reservation center) the document proving it.
In case of no penalty, we will re-bill you actual charges about you have stayed and refund your whole charges without any cancellation charge. |

What about I cannot check in because of uncontrollable situations? |
|
|
|
|
|
If you cannot check in because of uncontrollable situations like a natural disaster, an accident, a strike, a rebellion, a hijack, unexpected injuries or diseases, etc., we fully refund your charge except the cancellation charge(￥1500 / 1day&1room). Technically, however, it is hard to refund the cancellation charge omitted money. So we bill you the cancellation charge and refund your whole charge you made a booking one by one. Please understand this refund procedure. |

HotelJapan.net sets up own hotels’ classes to help your choice. We set up their classes based on hotel’s location, service, scale, facility. Please be aware that it is not official classification. |

I want to go with children. Is it Possible that 2 adults and a child stay in a TWN room? |
|
|

This question is the most frequent question during the high-demand season which many people plan a family trip.
Usually children under 7 years of age stay for free in their parent's room using the existing bedding. The age requirement differs depending on the specific hotel's policy. There may be extra-charge for meals(please pay at the restaurant)
Exceptionally, Onsens or Ryokans(traditional accommodations) may charge for even children.
Without notifying about children, you may pay extra-charge, so please notify us when you request on our homepage. |

Is it possible that 2 people stay in a single room? Who knows? |

The Japanese Fire Services Act prohibits people more than registered stay in a room together. The front desk don’t permit staying more people than booked. Only short visiting is possible.
Especially, in a business class hotel, the elevator usually is seen from the front desk. So the front desk knows it. Please make a suitable reservation. |

Staying in a TWN(DBL) room with your children is permitted but an extra-bed is an option. If you need an extra-bed, you should make a reservation not a TWN(DBL) room but a TRP room. It’s usually two single beds(or one double size bed) and an extra bed in a TWN(DBL) room. The lodging charge will be changed from TWN(DBL) to TRP |

If you request special options, we submit them to the hotel. The hotel staff will do their best to accommodate special requests. We cannot guarantee that your requests will be granted because they are subject to availability. |

Can I get the tax bill after paying the lodging charge? |

The presented fact is that a guest from another country consume goods(a foreign hotel’s room) at the out of the one’s own country. So the surtax is not generated. Therefore, the tax bill cannot be issued. |
